Stomach cramps caused by gastroenteritis are mostly due to a contaminated food or water. This is known to be highly contagious, so avoid sharing food, utensils, or towels with someone having this condition. Here are some ways on how to ease up your cramps from gastroenteritis.
Rub on some soothing restorative creams like menthol balms and oil to ease the pain.
Take some medications for the pain, such as Excedrin and Tylenol.
If this is accompanied with mild diarrhea, try to allow bowel discharge with in the first few minutes. This may help in getting the virus out of your system and relieve you from your pain. Be sure to drink a lot of liquid to replenish the amount of water loss.
If diarrhea persist, take some anti-diarrhea medications to alleviate your condition.
