I don’t know one guy who didn’t one day dream of being a ninja. In fairness, I’m sure there are girls out there, too, who’ve always longed to be a ninja. If you’re on a tight budget and can’t afford private lessons, it’s okay. Here are some ways to turn you into Bruce Lee in no time.

      Try pilates. Remember, you’re broke and don’t have the money to join a gym or take private instructions, so rent a videotape. Some of the best ninja warriors are agile and flexible. Pilates helps with this. Through the stretching and core strengthening, you’ll be doing high-level front kicks in no time. Before you question how ninja-esque pilates is, you should ask yourself this: How are you going to kick someone in the head if you can barely lift your leg off the ground?

      Constantly wear a black or white robe. Seeing is believing. Perception is reality. If you look the part, you’ll be the part. By wearing proper ninja garments, you’ll have the confidence you need to grunt and kick and punch the way real ninjas do. Plus, it looks cool. If you don’t own a black or white robe, your mom’s bathrobe will suffice.

      Wield a big stick. Ninjas are very able to play with swords and long sticks. Practice your ninja techniques by swinging your wooden stick. Get fancy and twirl it around a little bit. Every now and then, bash in a watermelon.
