Serving strawberry butter is an easy way to dress up your family breakfast table, or impress guests by serving strawberry butter with dinner rolls at your next dinner party.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries or 1 package (10 oz) frozen (drained)
  • 1/2 unsalted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  1. Step 1

Prepare strawberries. If you are using fresh strawberries cut the off the leafy part, wash the strawberries and dry them with a soft cloth or paper towel. If you are using frozen strawberries, simply thaw the berries and drain the liquid.

  2. Step 2

Place all ingredients in a blender (strawberries on the bottom).

  3. Step 3

Blend mixture until creamy. The mixture may appear to curdle, it's okay, just continue blending the strawberry, butter and powdered sugar mixture until it is smooth and creamy.

  4. Step 4

Transfer strawberry butter to candy molds, or place mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap and roll into a log.

  5. Step 5

Chill strawberry butter mixture in the refrigerator until cool and firm.

  6. Step 6

Remove strawberry butter from molds and place on a chilled plate or relish dish to serve. If you made the butter log, simply cut desired length of strawberry butter and place in a regular butter dish.

Tips & Warnings
  • Candy molds can be purchased at most hobby stores or larger discount stores. The molds come in many different shapes and sizes. You may choose to make individual strawberry "lady bugs" for the kids or find a more grown-up mold for a dinner party.
  • Different berries, such as blackberries or raspberries, can be substituted for the strawberries; they will be equally delicious in this recipe.
