Visual aids may be as simple as hanging a pair of jeans that you'd love to be able to fit into on a hook in the bedroom, or as complex as an image of the "new you" stuck to the refrigerator door. Writing self-motivational notes to yourself and placing them in strategic points that you normally frequent during the course of a day will help keep you focused and on on track.

Capturing mental images will help you strive to become more like that captured image. Thinking "thin" uses the power of the subconscious in your efforts to exercise. Play upbeat music while you exercise to keep yourself in rhythm. After exercising you will feel energized and refreshed and ready to tackle anything. This mindset is great for not only your physical health but your mental well-being, too.

Find a buddy who would like to exercise with you. This special time together will allow you to bond as friends while you motivate one another to continue your regimen. As you see the positive physical changes in each other, it will spur you on to reap the rewards that regular exercise brings, such as better health and a whole new wardrobe to fit the brand new you.
