Prepare the work area. You will need to lay out some newspaper on a flat surface, or a tiled floor will work just fine.

Wipe the shoes down. Dampen a paper towel with water and use it to wipe any excess dirt or dust off the shoes prior to fixing the scuffs.

    • 3

Color in the scuffs using the marker. Depending on the color of your shoes, you will need to use either a brown or a black marker. Simply color in the scuff marks with the marker and blot the excess ink using a dry paper towel.

Allow shoes to dry. Once you have finished coloring in all the noticeable scuff markings, allow the shoes to dry in a well ventilated area for at least 30 minutes.

Tips & Warnings

  • Try coloring just a small area with the marker at first to make sure that the color will blend with the rest of the shoe.
