Even though some of the Disney animated films were created in the 1930s and 1940s, the Disney princesses remain more popular than ever today and include a mix of past and present, including Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Jasmine. Little girls all around the world are fans of Disney princesses, and there are many things that you can put together to create a Disney-princess-themed birthday party.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Buy themed decorations. Because the princesses are so popular today, it is easy to find Disney princess decorations. Kits are even sold featuring party hats, plates, napkins and other items needed for a Disney princess party.

  2. Step 2

Look in the bakery section of your grocery store to find Disney-themed cakes that include specific princesses or a mix of them all. The cakes are average in price and will fit in nicely with all of the party decorations.

  3. Step 3

Plan party games. Most princesses have crowns, so a great idea for princess-themed parties is to use crowns as prizes for party guests. Whenever they win a game, they win a crown, until everybody has one.

  4. Step 4

Host a royal run. Because princesses are high-class and royal, involve that aspect into games like a teacup run. Fill up a bunch of teacups with any cold liquid and have a race across the yard to see who can make it across with spilling the least amount out.

  5. Step 5

Play traditional games like musical chairs featuring classic Disney songs from movies like Aladdin, Snow White and Cinderella.

  6. Step 6

Dress up. A great way to continue the Disney princess theme is to play dress up. Have each of the party members dress up as their favorite princess and then have them all interact over a tea party or other games. Time will fly by as all of the children are dressing up and having fun, and it will also be a memorable time.

  7. Step 7

Arrange a princess visit. You or a friend can also dress up and pop into the party as a surprise visit. Act in character like you are from the actual Disney movie and reference characters and plot points from that movie.

  8. Step 8

Watch videos. As the party winds down and guests calm down, pop in a classic Disney VHS or DVD for them to enjoy. You can also play a Disney board game like Disney Scene It or DVD Bingo for more interactive fun.
