Step3
Place your four fingers on the A, S, D and F keys in that order while keeping your palm gently rested on the base of the keyboard. Make sure not to be pressing down with any of your fingers; instead, have them rest just above the keys or gently on them without applying pressure.
Step4
Place your thumb gently on the space bar under the B key while keeping the other four fingers on your left hand on the A, S, D and F keys.
Step5
Place the base of your right at the base of the keyboard while keeping your left hand in position.
Step6
Place your four right fingers on the J, K, L and colon/semi-colon keys while keeping the base of your right palm and your entire left hand in position.
Step7
Place your right thumb on the space bar just below B key while everything else on both hands is in position.

Step9
Practice typing these keys on the word processor while watching your fingers press down on them and then practice typing these keys without looking.
Step10
Practicing typing full words and sentences by using each finger to type keys in their surrounding areas. (For example: the left hand types keys Q, W, E, R, T, Y, Z, X, C, V, G and sometimes B. The right hand types keys Y, U, I, O, P, N, H and sometimes B.
Step11
Practice typing all these keys with whichever fingers feels most comfortable hitting those corresponding keys.
Step12
Remember that practice makes perfect and it is a challenge to start. It will, however, get much easier the more practice you have.
