Flowers are often used as a romantic gesture from a man to a woman--they are a versatile gift that can be given on special occasions, holidays, dates or for no reason at all. Read on to learn how to buy flowers for your woman.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Shop at a flower shop, not a grocery store or corner store. You will get the freshest flowers so they will last longer, the prettiest arrangements and more of a selection. Plus, you can get expert advice about which flowers will be the most aromatic, which will bloom the longest, which are most in season and other helpful tips.

  2. Step 2

Buy flowers for your woman to make her happy, not to make yourself happy--meaning, don't use flowers as a "sorry."

  3. Step 3

Pay attention to her favorites. What color roses does she prefer? Does she like enormous arrangements or single-stems? Whatever you decide, she will appreciate that you remembered.

  4. Step 4

Surprise her with flowers. They are the best when they are given for no reason other than to tell her that you love her.

  5. Step 5

Have a bouquet or arrangement delivered to her work. Beautiful flowers will brighten up her work-day and remind her of you.

  6. Step 6

Research the meanings of different flowers when giving them, for example: a single red rose means "I Love You" while the yellow rose signifies friendship, the calla lilly is paired with the sixth wedding anniversary and baby's breath means innocence. Give your arrangement more meaning by choosing flowers that tell her how you feel about her.

  7. Step 7

Plant flowers in a garden specifically for her. How much more romantic can you be? Later, when they are fully in bloom, clip her fresh beautiful flowers that were meant only for her and display them in your house.
