Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in numerous cities throughout the United States. Here is how you can celebrate Cinco de Mayo in New York City.

From Quick Guide: Celebrate Cinco de Mayo
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Attend the Cinco de Mayo parade in Manhattan. The parade, held in uptown Manhattan, is normally held on the Sunday closest to Cinco de Mayo. You can search online to find when and where the Cinco de Mayo parade will be held in New York.

  2. Step 2

Go to East Village Wine and Liquor during the day on Cinco de Mayo. This store celebrates Cinco de Mayo by handing out free tequila shots.

  3. Step 3

Stop by the Cinco de Mayo Festival in Queens. Held in Flushing, this festival is full of great food, crafts and music throughout the day. Like the parade, the festival isn't always held on May 5 so it's wise to do some research.

  4. Step 4

Enjoy great food and drinks at one of the three Dos Caminos locations found in New York City. Dos Caminos actually begins celebrating Cinco de Mayo days before the holiday by having great specials for roughly a week. Dos Caminos is full of traditional food and beverages, not to mention arguably the best guacamole found in all of Manhattan.

  5. Step 5

Take part in the Cinco de Mayo Pub Crawl. In short, you pay one set price (normally around $15) and you are then given specials on drinks in bars throughout New York City. The best part about this is the the pub crawl lasts all day long.
