Many people automatically think of children when they think about baptism. However, it's not odd to hear about adults getting baptized. Here is how you could celebrate the baptism of your spouse.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Buy your spouse a new outfit to wear to his or her baptism. The baptism of an adult is just as formal, if not more formal, an event as the baptism of a child. Even if your spouse doesn't necessarily need new clothes for the baptism, buying him or her an outfit is a nice pre-baptism present for you to give.
Step2
Take your spouse out to a nice dinner either the night before or the night of the baptism. You could invite friends and family or just make it a special night out for you and your spouse. Since it's your spouse getting baptized, ask him where he would like to go for his baptism dinner.
Step3
Buy your spouse a present to commemorate his baptism. Since it is a religious event, considering buying a gift such as a personalized Bible. This is a convenient and thoughtful gift to celebrate a baptism, especially if your spouse does not one.
Step4
On the day of the actual baptism, bring a camera with you and record and/or take pictures of the event. The baptism of your spouse is just as important as the baptism of a baby and should be treated as such. You could even frame some of the pictures that you took during the baptism and present them to your spouse as a gift.
Step5
Throw your spouse a baptism party after the baptism has taken place. If your spouse was taking classes in order to baptized, such as RCIA, invite other members of that particular class to the party. You should also invite the priest or reverend that baptized your spouse as well as friends and family members.
