Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cleaned out mason jars
  • Label
  • 2 cups of Epsom salts
  • 1 to 2 tsp. of baking soda
  • 10 to 12 drops of essential oils
  • Large bowl
  • Wooden spoon
  • Bubble bath
  • Basket
  • Candles
  • Facial masks
  • Manicure items
  • Eye masks
  • Scented lotions
  1. Step 1

Purchase a basket at a local discount or craft store. Depending on the amount of items you chose to put into the basket will dictate the size of the basket you will need.

  2. Step 2

Making your own bath salts is a great way to add a personal touch to the gift basket. Here is a simple recipe for you to follow: Mix 2 cups Epsom salts, 1 to 2 tsp. of baking soda (helps to make skin softer) and 10 to 12 drops of the essential oils of your choice. Lavender oil works great to help you relax in the bath, and makes great bath salts. Mix all of these ingredients together in a large bowl with a wooden spoon.

  3. Step 3

Once your homemade bath salts are made you can empty them into a clean mason jar and put a cute label on it.

  4. Step 4

Purchase other items that you would like to include in the spa basket, things that the recipient can use to pamper themselves with at home. Possibilities include candles, facial masks, manicure items, eye masks, scented lotions, toe separators, a new bath robe and slippers.

  5. Step 5

Arrange all of these items together in your basket and attach a card to it or in it. Then present it to your friend, family member or co-worker.
