Makeup powder helps set foundation

A neat application of makeup powder all over your face provides a finished look. Powder keeps your face matte and non-shiny and can be applied with a fluffy brush or compact puff.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Loose makeup powder
  • Compact powder
  • Fluffy makeup brush
  1. Step 1

Start with a clean brush if you're using loose powder.

  2. Step 2

Dip the tip of the brush into the powder.

  3. Step 3

Tap the sides of the brush so that any excess powder falls back into its container.

  4. Step 4

Look in a mirror before applying powder to get the best results.

  5. Step 5

Apply the brush all over your face, dipping back into the loose powder if needed.

  6. Step 6

For compact makeup, rub the compact puff over the makeup.

  7. Step 7

Press the puff lightly into your skin, all over your face, until you have even coverage.

  8. Step 8

Recheck your look in a mirror to make sure your makeup is perfectly blended.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to use powder that closely matches your skin tone for the best look. Compacts are easy to carry around in your handbag for touch-ups during the day.
