Learn how to calm those pre-wedding jitters and enjoy the big day.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A wedding
  • Soft music
  • A bottle of water
  • Aromatherapy candles or scents
  • A fun activity
  • Some friends and family
  1. Step 1

Do something other than preparing for the wedding itself. Get your hair done. Get a manicure. Go for a walk. Expend some energy with a physical activity that will clear your mind and body.

  2. Step 2

Drink plenty of water. Keep a bottle nearby. The more fluids you drink, the more hydrated your body will be. This will allow you to breathe easily and think clearly.

  3. Step 3

Play some relaxing music. Play it while you get dressed.

  4. Step 4

Inhale aromatherapy scents or burn some scented candles. Lavender is a great scent that is proven to relax and calm your nerves. Escape into an aromatherapy bath or head to the spa for a treatment involving these stress-removers.

  5. Step 5

Spend time with friends and family members who make you laugh. Go out for a few margaritas and share stories. Get your mind off of nerves and jitters.

  6. Step 6

Speak to the wedding planner. Get their advice and know where your part is in the wedding ceremony. The more confident you feel, the less stressful the whole ordeal will be for you.

Tips & Warnings
  • Never snap at a guest attending the wedding. You may be stressed and worn out, but keep a smile on your face and get through the ceremony.
