Curly hair is not a curse. It can be styled just as easily as straight hair. The self-experimentation, I discovered the trick to getting the best results is to manage your hair the right way. Although you may have curly hair, sometimes they are a little too loose at times. With a few tips, you'll learn how to tighten already curly hair for a beautiful look.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Leave In Conditioner
  • Gel
  • Frizz Ease Serum
  • Towel
  1. Step 1

Wash your hair and get rid of any leftover styling aids. If you do not cleanse your hair, then the resulting effect will not be a good one. Having a fresh start will also give your hair a healthier shine free from dullness. Use lukewarm water to wet your hair and then place a large amount of moisturizing conditioner in it. Allow it to remain in your hair for at least 15 minutes or leave it on longer if your hair is severely damaged. Rinse out the conditioner with warm water and then follow with a cold water rinse.

  2. Step 2

Take excess water from your hair by gently squeezing it several times. Resist the urge to use a towel because it will cause tremendous frizz to it. The cold water rinse used previously sealed the hair cuticle and helped it to increase the shine. Using a towel to rub the extra moisture out of your hair will send your hair follicles into shock. Just simply place a towel around your shoulders to catch the water droplets.

  3. Step 3

Spray a moisturizing leave in conditioner on your hair. In order to increase your chances for a better hair experience, comb the conditioner through your wet hair. The best tool for doing this is a wide tooth comb because it will make the entire process easier. If there are any major tangles in your hair consider adding a detangling product as well. This will prevent you from having to tug at your hair.

  4. Step 4

Rub Frizz Ease Hair Serum in the palm of your hands and then completely run them through your hair. Not only will this decrease the potential of frizzy hair, but it will also add much needed moisturizers as well. The more moisture is added to your curly hair, the better your curl definition will become. Your curls will have a little extra bounce and become tighter than they were previously.

  5. Step 5

Increase your natural curl pattern by scrunching your hair gently. If you are a gel user, consider adding it at this point as well. Take your time during this process, but remember that your hair may dry quickly. Keep your hair moist by spraying a little water, but not enough to saturate.

  6. Step 6

Allow your hair to air dry and you'll start to notice that your curls are becoming more defined. Instead of lackluster curls with no definition, you'll have an entire head full of bouncy curls that are well behaved. Enjoy being the envy of everyone that looks your way.
