How to Make a Seaweed Bath

If you live or are planning a stay anywhere near a beach, gather kelp or seaweed for a wonderful soft water bath. Seaweed or kelp is the ingredient in many skin care products, and this way you get to experience it pure from the source. Read on to learn how to make a seaweed bath.

Things You'll Need

• Small wagon for seaweed
• Seaweed (enough to cover the bottom of the small wagon, at least)
• Hot bath

Instructions

1. Gather seaweed from the beach or ocean. Thick or wide fronds are OK, and go a long way toward giving you a soft bath.

2. Rinse seaweed in the sink or under the hose, then transport it to your bathtub.

3. Stop up the drain and run the hot water. Allow the seaweed or kelp to float loosely in the bath.

4. Depending on what you prefer, let the green fronds float around you (they are fairly slimy in their water-softening properties, however) or remove them before taking a bath. Placing them in the sink works.

5. Enjoy the amazing soft and silky hot bath that the seaweed has produced. You'll never forget the experience.
