How to Turn a Car Into a Moving Advertisement

Advertisements are everywhere, from billboards and signs to bumper stickers being displayed on cars and trucks. You will find entire cars, trucks and even a city bus that has been transformed into a mobile advertisement for one product or another. • Access to a computer and the Internet
• Magnetic signs from a print shop
• Pencil and paper

1. Many business owners use their cars as a way to advertise their own business. The process is simple, and inexpensive. Grab a pad of paper and pencil and jot down all of the possible slogans and advertising information that you want to convey. Do you want the name of your business to be listed? Your phone number? Your Internet address? Your business slogan? Do you have a color combination that you want to use or, is black and white sufficient for your needs? What size would you like your advertisement to be? Do you want it to be permanent, temporary, or removeable? Brainstorm and don't rule out any possible ideas. There will be time for that later.
2. Now that you've brainstormed, it's time to get down to business. Decide what you want your advertisement to say, what must be included, what is optional and what size you want it to be.
3. Many people prefer removable advertisements. If this fits what you want, bring your list to your local print shop. Local print shops, and chains, will make custom-made magnets that you can place on your car to advertise your business. The nice thing about this type of advertising is that you can remove it when you go on vacation or choose not to to advertise your business.
4. If you want a permanent solution, you can contact a local artist for help. They can tell you how much it would cost for them to paint your advertisement on your vehicle for you. Where can you find an artist like this? Contact local print shops to see if they can put you in touch with local artists. When you see artwork that you like, contact the owner of the business displaying that artwork and ask for the name of their artist. Adventurous souls may want to do try this on their own, using acrylic paints as a handy solution. If you decide to go this route, please paint a sample on poster board or another surface before attempting to paint it on your vehicle. You may change your mind and decide to hire an artist after all.
