How to Use an Abdominal Roller

Ab rollers can be purchased at most sporting goods stores or at Wal-Mart or Target. An ab roller is simply a small wheel with two arms sticking out. This article explains the best way to use the lightweight piece of workout equipment.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Ab roller
  • Open space of floor

Step1
Get down on your hands and knees in an open area.
Step2
Grasp the handles of the ab roller in both hands and slowly extend body all the way to just above the ground, while keeping knees in place.
Step3
Slowly move body back up into the original position. You've just completed one set.
Step4
Do three sets of 20 with a two minute break in between.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure to keep your back straight and to do the motions slowly. Put a pad underneath both knees if exercising on a hard surface.
  • Never bend your back in any way. Keep the back straight at all times.
