Perpetual adoration is a beautiful practice as well as a way for believers to spend more time with Christ. Not all churches have an entire day devoted to perpetual adoration. Here is how to create a day of perpetual adoration at your church.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Speak to the priest at your church regarding perpetual adoration. Make sure that he is enthusiastic about setting up the practice of perpetual adoration at your church.

  2. Step 2

Speak to a priest of a church that does have perpetual adoration. Find out exactly what traditions that church follows regarding perpetual adoration. This can give you some ideas about what you can do at your church.

  3. Step 3

Contact members of your church regarding a day of perpetual adoration. Since the blessed sacrament can never be left alone you will need to find people who will become committed adorers. The number of people you need is dependent on how many hours your church will set aside for adoration.

  4. Step 4

Find out if and when other churches in your area have days of perpetual adoration. The point of this is to ensure that your church doesn't have perpetual adoration on the same day as a nearby church. Hopefully, the churches in your area can work together so that perpetual adoration is found at different churches throughout the week.

  5. Step 5

Work with other churches in your area regarding perpetual adoration. Ask those churches to tell their members about perpetual adoration at your church and offer to do the same for them. Remember that perpetual adoration isn't just about the members of your particular church. It is something that is to be shared by all believers.
