Although it's hard to tone just one part of your body, toning your butt is a little easier because of the ratio of muscle to fat. Keeping it toned is more of a trick, but you can quickly tone your butt in a few sessions at the gym.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Gym to work out in
  • Star master machine
  • 5-pound weights
  • Treadmill
  1. Step 1

Start out as you should every workout--by stretching your muscles. A good stretch for the butt is to sit on a mat with your legs straight out in front of you, stretching your torso and arms forward and attempting to touch your toes.

  2. Step 2

Get on the treadmill to warm up your body. Fast walk and jog for just 5 minutes with a variation of speeds. You can incline the treadmill for the last 2 minutes for an extra boost in your butt.

  3. Step 3

Go to the weight room and get two 5-pound weights. Make sure you have about 20 feet of space in front of you. Holding your stomach in for good balance and moving with control, perform 16 walking lunges. Rest for 30 seconds. Perform 16 more, or as many as you can. Rest for 30 more seconds, and then perform one more set.

  4. Step 4

Stretch standing up by keeping your knees loose and touching your toes.

  5. Step 5

Get on the stair stepper. Start out slowly and increase your speed for 10 minutes. You can intermittently speed up and slow down for a deeper workout.

  6. Step 6

Stretch out your legs on the mat as in Step 1 to finish your workout.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep drinking water.
  • This can be easily added into your normal workout.
  • Avoid fatty foods during the weeks that you are toning.
