    • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
    • 1/3 cup water
    • Pot for boiling
    1. Make Corn Syrup From Scratch

        Mix the ingredients in a heavy pot.

        Bring the mixture to a slow boil.

        Reduce the heat to a simmer.

        Let the mixture simmer over low heat until the mixture gets thick and syrupy. Corn syrup should simmer for about 3 minutes.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Make sure you use a big enough pot.

    • This is a very simplified version of corn syrup substitute. Avoid boiling the sugar over as it will be very messy.

      I tried out the Sugar Syrup like in this recipe before,for making Marshmallows.Because Corn Syrup is hard to get here in Poland It was a COMPLETE failure.Not recommended
