How to Lengthen Kids' Toothbrushing Time
Kds don't like to brush very long. As a result, their baby white pearly teeth, or even their new-growing adult teeth, can turn yellowish or brownish instead of nice bright white. It's not about brushing hard. It's about brushing for a longer time. Increase that brushing time for children you know and care about.

1
Buy an electric toothbrush that plays a musical tune. This tune will be played for at least two minutes in order for kids to address the common problem of lightning-quick toothbrushing. The key is for children to brush the entire length of the music, until the tune stops.

2
Play a favorite song on a CD on a boombox in the bathroom. Since songs are usually two to three minutes long, this option could be ideal. They can bop around along they like, but kids should actively brush throughout the song.

Try a timer. It may not be as exciting, but could help stretch the brushing out to at least one minute. An electric toothbrush may help. They can always hum their own tune.

Make sure to monitor the toothbrushing, especially for younger kids. As difficult as it may be, try to be around their bathroom or at least in the vicinity while they brush. Children will try to sneak out of this (and even lie to your face about it) more than you think. You may wish to pitch in and brush the younger children's teeth once in a while to model and also remind them how it should be done.

If all else fails, brush with them. Brushing together, even in a silly way, can help pass the time. Having company always boosts the spirit, especially when kids consider toothbrushing a chore.
