  1. Getting the Proper Utilities

      Go to the Mozilla website to download the Firefox web browser if you don't already have it. Click on the "Download Firefox--Free" button and save the file to your desktop or run it directly. Simply follow the screen prompts until you've successfully installed Firefox.

      Open your Firefox web browser if it hasn't already opened after installation and go to to the add ons link.

      Enter "Video Download Helper" in the search box and choose to search within all add-ons. Click on the "Add to Firefox" button to download this utility. When the download is complete you will need to restart Firefox so it can begin to operate. When you browser reopens, you will notice an icon on right end of your navigation toolbar that looks like three balloons (red, yellow and blue). There will also be a black arrow next to this icon. This is the are where you will operate the Video Download Helper utility.

    Downloading YouTube Videos

      Open your Firefox browser and go to YouTube to locate your video of choice. Allow the video to play so Video Download Helper can detect it.

      Click on the black arrow next to the Video Download Helper icon and select the name of the video you want to download. You should only see the current video as an option, but if you've looked at other videos they may appear in the list as well.

      Choose to save the file to your Desktop when the "Save File" box appears. Rename the file if you like.

    Converting YouTube Videos With SUPER

      Go to the Video Help website to download the SUPER Video Converter. Choose the option to "Download from mirror download" as the "Download form author's tool site" option is a little confusing.

      Save the "SUPER" installation file to your desktop.

      Click on the "SUPER" installation application on your Desktop to run the installation file. Simply follow the screen prompts until the installation is successful.

      Open "SUPER" and set the Output Container to mp4 (MPEG-4). Make sure the "Direct Show Decode" option is unchecked but keep the rest of the default settings.

      Drag and drop the downloaded YouTube video file from your desktop to the box in the lower area of the SUPER application that has "Drop a Valid Media File Here--Will Try to Play or Encode" just above it. Check the box next to the file you've just added and select the option to "Encode (Active Files)" from the list of buttons below. By default, the files will encode to SUPER's installation directory but you can change the output location by right-clicking on the file name and selecting "Output File Saving Management" option.

    Playing Your YouTube Video With Your Zune

      Open the Zune software and add SUPER's output directory to to the list of folders you want your library to monitor.

      Connect you Zune to your computer and choose the videos you want to be added to your Zune. Let the run the sync process as usual.
