Doing different things for your mom shows the appreciation you have for her. But going all out to give her a new look to make her feel special is the best. Here are some tips to get your mom to go from plain Jane to smoking hot.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Nothing makes a woman more happy than shopping the day away at the mall, so schedule a day with your mother to shop around at a clothing store of her choice. Pick out what outfit or item of clothing that would look the best on her or you can get a personal shopper to help her find the right style of clothes. This is great idea, especially if your mom is really in need of a complete new wardrobe.

  2. Step 2

If your mom is big on makeup, glam her up by taking her to the department store to get her makeup done professionally. Stores like Macy's have makeup makeovers and she can go to the Clinque, MAC or Christian Dior counter to try on makeup. You have the choice to book an appointment or visit the store along with your mom and ask the makeup artist at the store if she charges or ask if the service if for free. Her makeover will be done right on the spot and she will definitely feel like a new person after she leaves the store.

  3. Step 3

Surprise your mom with a special treatment at a spa to get soothing massages. Check to see which spa in your local area charge a decent price so you wouldn't break the bank. Your mom will thank you for pampering her to a spa treatment as she will feel relaxed, refreshed and stress-free.

  4. Step 4

Get a group of professionals to make your mom look sensational. Nominate your mom to get on TV series such as "How Do I Look" or "What Not to Wear" so she can have a great new look. If you want the complete makeover--nails, hair and clothes, the show, "10 Years Younger" definitely can transform your mom from head to toe. Plus what is great about these shows is the tips they give out so your mom can consistently look her best long after her makeover is over.

Tips & Warnings
  • If your mom refuses a makeover or doesn't care to change her appearance, don't bother. Who knows, maybe the next time around she will give in.

  • Make sure she upkeeps her look so she doesn't put it to the side like she'd done in the past.
