Things You'll Need:
- Golf clubs
-
Hitting gloves
-
Golf shoes
-
Step 1
Bring all of your clubs to the driving range. Using your driver only is a hacker's mistake. Start out with your wedge then work your way through the bag.
-
Step 2
Never swing unless you are aiming at a specific target. Periodically change that target during your day at the driving range.
-
Step 3
One swing thought at a time. Too much thinking ruins a swing.
-
Step 4
Pace yourself during your swings at the driving range. No rapid-fire hitting. Stimulate the pace of a normal round. Step away, look over the range, and go through your normal pre-shot routine.
-
Step 5
Leave when you are tired. You make only 40 or more swings in a normal round of golf. Bashing through 80 practice balls will tire you out. And when you are tired, you will develop bad swinging habits. Give the remainder of your balls to another struggling golfer.
