How to tell your boyfriend you want to slow down
All romantic relationships move along at different speeds. Some move along quickly, some move at a glacial pace and some vary from fast to slow. All speeds are fine as long and you and your boyfriend are on the same page. But problems will arise if he is ready to move faster than you. As difficult as it may seem, you have to let your boyfriend know your feelings.

1
Take a moment by yourself to work out your feelings. Think of your ideal relationship and what that will entail. Make a list if you need to to collect your thoughts more effectively.
-
2
Make a plan to meet your boyfriend in a comfortable and familiar place, such as your favorite park bench or coffee shop, or simply a place you like to stroll together.
-
-
3
Make sure that you have your boyfriend's complete attention. Grab his hand or put your hand on his shoulder in a loving gesture and make eye contact.
-
4
Tell your boyfriend that you need to talk to him about something that is very serious to you. Be confident and kind, but serious.
-
5
Tell him that you think the relationship is moving too fast. Take a few moments to tell him why you feel this way, so that he sees that you have put thought into this.
-
6
Describe to him your ideal speed for the relationship, or at least the things that you are comfortable and excited about doing with him for the time being.
-
7
Remind your boyfriend that you care about him and that you don't want to end the relationship over this issue, but that you feel strongly about this.
