Things You'll Need:
- 3 tubs
-
Woolite or cat shampoo
-
Vinegar
-
Towel
-
Blow dryer
-
Nail or beak trimmer
-
Toothpicks
-
Step 1
Prepare tubs. The first tub will be filled with warm water and the Woolite or cat shampoo. The degree of mites or fleas will determine the necessity for cat shampoo. The second tub will be the rinsing tub, only filled with clear water. And the third tub will have 2 cups of vinegar and 1 gallon of water added for the final cleansing of the chicken.
-
Step 2
Deposit the chicken into the first tub, kindly. Chickens are not used to baths and will struggle. Suds up the bird under the vent, their wings, and also the feet. Suds all over, taking care not to break feathers.
-
Step 3
Place in second tub, and completely rinse all the suds. Make sure to hold the head up throughout. Now, for the shine! In the third tub spread the vinegar water all over the chicken to promote a glow. Towel-dry or blow dry completely.
-
Step 4
Do the nails or beak, if needed with trimmers. Make sure not to cut. If a cut should happen use a little powder or flour to stop the flow.
