Start by contacting friends of the groom. In order for any surprise party to work, you'll need people to attend. Be sure to tell his friends that the bachelor party is a surprise party so that the groom won't know what is being planned.
-
2
Plan the surprise bachelor party for a date and time that the groom won't be expecting a party. If you take your friend out with a bunch of people a few days before the wedding, he's most likely going to be suspicious. Instead, consider having the surprise party on a random day a month or so before the actual wedding.

If you're friend asks about when his bachelor party is taking place, give him misinformation. For example, you could tell him that a group of you are going out or that the party is on a completely different date. Chances are that no matter what you do he is going to know that some kind of event is forthcoming. The point is to make as much of the party as you can a surprise.

4
Make the bachelor party about your friend and not what you want. You know what type of bachelor party your friend would like so plan accordingly. Think about whether he would want to have a bachelor party at a public place or at somebody's home. Have his favorite foods and drinks at the party. Be sure that your friend feels like the guest of honor.

On the night of the surprise bachelor party, take your friend somewhere else, first. If you do decide to drink alcohol, keep the groom lucid so that he'll fully enjoy the actual bachelor party. You want the groom to believe that all of you going out is the event and not the surprise bachelor party that is to follow.
