How to touch up a scratch on your hardwood floor

Maintaining a hardwood floor can be a tough job, especially since every time someone unknowingly drags a piece of furniture across the wood, it can leave little scratch marks. If you have a scratch you'd like to disappear, here are some tips to helping you get that area of your wood floor back to looking its best.       Clean the scratch and the area around it with a dry cloth.

      Find a marker in the house that matches the same color as the surrounding wood of the floor. Color the scratch with the marker.

      You can also use a crayon the same color as the wood floor surrounding the scratch. A crayon is nice because it also seals the scratch naturally with wax.
