Improving your golf drive takes determination and practice. Although you will learn some of the fundamentals to your golf swing and drive in this how to, there is nothing about increasing the distance of your drive because it all starts with you and your form. The best advice is to practice as often as possible, it takes skill and repetition to perfect and improve your golf drive.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Have correct posture and alignment. The correct stance is with your knees flexed. Your feet, hips and shoulders in line with the target. And have the ball lined up slightly inside of your front foot.

  2. Step 2

Slow your tempo on the takeaway, bringing the club inside (hinge wrists to create a proper lever system for power).

  3. Step 3

Focus on having the proper weight transfer throughout your swing: shift weight onto your back foot during takeaway and use the natural movement of weight through the swing, ending with good balance in the finish.

  4. Step 4

Stay on plane: your club should follow a similar path on the takeaway and downswing to avoid swinging too inside or over the top.

  5. Step 5

Practice as often as possible. Stay focused and eager to improve your golf game and form, not just increase your drive distance.
