How to Decorate a Room With a Chicago Cubs Theme

The Chicago Cubs are one of the oldest sports franchises in all of sports. Despite the team's lack of success for a prolonged period of time, the Cubs still have a very loyal and large fan base. Here is how to decorate a room with a Chicago Cubs theme.

1. Paint the room in the colors of the Chicago Cubs. Red and blue are the two main colors found on the uniforms of the Cubs. Look at a team uniform or the logo of the Cubs to get the exact colors for your room.
2. Place a decal of the Cubs logo on a wall in the room. You could also simply paint the “C” found on the caps of the Cubs on a wall of the room. A cool way to do this would be to paint a red “C” on a blue wall or vice versa.
3. Find a large picture or poster of Wrigley Field and display it in the room. Wrigley Field is arguably the most famous ballpark in the history of Major League Baseball and has been the home of the Cubs since 1916.
4. Buy or make a white flag with a blue “W” on it and hang it somewhere in the room after the Cubs win a game. This is a tradition that has taken place in Chicago for decades.
5. Have a small memorial to Harry Caray somewhere in the room. Caray was an announcer for the Cubs and will forever be an icon to Chicago and the game of baseball in general. Search the Internet for bobbleheads, pictures and other Harry Caray memorabilia.
6. Buy or print a picture of the 1908 Cubs team and display it in the room. 1908 was the second and last time that the Cubs won a World Series in the twentieth century.
7. Display a baseball or bat signed by Ryne Sandberg somewhere in the room. Sandberg was one of the great players in the history of the Cubs and also one of the most popular players in franchise history. You will be able to find these items on the Internet as well as in team shops.
