Instructions

  1. Cleaning Your Hair With CornStarch

    • 1

Comb your hair thoroughly to remove tangles and any dirt that has adhered to the hair shaft. Section one piece of hair and lift it away from your scalp.

    • 2

Dip the clean baby toothbrush into the cornstarch. Beginning at the scalp, brush the cornstarch through your hair, up to two inches past the root.

    • 3

Using your comb, lift another section of hair and repeat step two. Continue until all of the hair has been treated.

    • 4

Allow the cornstarch to remain on the hair for at least three minutes. If the corn starch is brushed out too soon, the oil in your hair will not be absorbed.

    • 5

Using a stiff bristled brush, vigorously brush your hair to remove the cornstarch. A brush with tightly packed nylon bristles works best.

I tried this with baby powder when I was in high school and I didnt get it all out of my dark brown hair. I was really embarrassed when my mom pointed it out AFTER we got home. Good tip about getting it all out.
