Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Water
- Energizing snack
- Comfortable clothes
- Bug Spray
- Backpack
Step1
Pick a good time of the day to go on your hike. A good time might be in the morning or evening when it's cooler, but it depends on when you feel your strongest. A hike won't be as fun when you're tired as much as when you're full of energy.
Step2
Pack a backpack with a snack that will keep you on the trail longer. Something like a bag of cut up fruit or vegetables, or some trail mix will be the best. But as long as it's healthy and something you like, it'll do.
Make sure you also pack one or two bottles of water, depending on the length of your hike.
Step3
Make sure you're wearing comfortable clothes to hike in. If you're wearing jeans and a sweater, the hike will seem like it will take twice as much energy than when you're wearing shorts and a T-shirt.
Also, keep in mind the terrain of the trail you might plan to hike in. It would be smart to plan out if there is lots of plants that might have thorns on them, or not be good for your skin like poison ivy. If you think there might be some thick brush on the trial, switch your shorts for some lightweight exercise pants instead.
