Writing a sympathy note is hard to do depending on the situation. It is hard to comfort someone with words, however they will the recipient will appreciate the letter after they weather the storm.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Pen
  • Paper or Card of Your Choice
Step1
Write the greeting to recipient. Example: Dear Susie
Step2
Express your feelings about the grief. Example: I am sorry to learn about the loss of your mother.
Step3
Let them recipient know that you are there to support them. Example: If there is anything I can do for you, let me know. I am always here for you.
Step4
Reinstate the feeling of grief. Example: Your in my thoughts and prayers.
Step5
Give them your regards. Example: Yours Truly,

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to be sensitive to the issue at hand, don't forget why you are writing the letter.
