Want a unique Baby Shower Party favor with a special significance? Make this super easy Seed Pot for the guests to take home. Clay Pot container, filled with Baby's Breath seeds will remind each guest of the new baby, new life & beginnings!

I made these for my daughter's baby shower and have been receiving compliments ever since!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Miniature Clay Pots
  • Packets of Baby's Breath Seeds
  • Tulle Organza
  • Ribbon
  • Hole Puncher
  • Paper
  • Computer
  • Clip Art
  • Compressed Peat Soil Pellets
  • Springs of Silk Baby's Breath
  • Lots of Love
  1. Step 1

Place a Soil Pellet in each pot. These can be purchased at a garden supply center.

  2. Step 2

Place a Baby's Breath Seed Packet in each pot. Purchase at any garden supply center.

  3. Step 3

Cut square of tulle organza large enough to fit each pot and go over the top in order to tie. Can be purchased at any craft, hobby or fabric store.

  4. Step 4

Using your favorite print shop or graphics program, compose a tag and decorate with clip art, such as an initial Baby Block, if you know the new baby's name; a stork, carriage, or any other favorite image. Compose a message. I used the following on my seed pot shower favors:

A Baby is a precious gift Given from above
A life for us to cherish To nurture and to love

So please plant these little seeds And watch them grow and bloom
Just like little baby Who'll be arriving soon!

With love and thanks for helping Buffie and Bif prepare for baby's arrival!

  5. Step 5

Print enough tags for each pot. Use crimping scissors for a decorative touch.

  6. Step 6

Using a hole punch, punch a hole in the corner of each hang tag.

  7. Step 7

Using decorative ribbon, such as curling ribbon, thread through the hole of each hang tag, and wrap around the center of the organza tulle.

  8. Step 8
    Baby's Breath Silk Sprig

Optional: Cut apart a silk spray of Baby's Breach, and attach a single sprig to each ribbon.
