Things You'll Need:
- Card making program (many printers come with some card-making template)
- Printer

Step 1
The first thing you will need to get is a card creating program. Many printers come with a card-making template on the start-up disc. If your printer didn't come with such a template, you can often download these templates online or buy a cheap program at places like Target or Office Depot.
-
Step 2
Once you've acquired a card making template, you will need to find little ways to make the card special and personal. Think of things like your special person's favorite color, or their favorite flower, and find ways to incorporate that in the card through clip art or color templates. You can also use things like personal pictures to decorate the front cover.
-
Step 3
The next thing you'll have to do is the message. I usually like to start my cards off with a quote; do a google search using terms like "mothers quote" or "grandmothers quotes" and you should get a list of quotes that people have said in the past about mothers, grandmothers, etc. Sometimes you may have to go more broad with your search terms (i.e. quotes on love, quotes on family, etc.).
-
Step 4
Finally, you'll need to create your own personal message. Link your message back to your quote- there must be a reason why you picked the quote you did- explain in your message how this quote relates back to your loved one, and what you were trying to express when you chose this quote.
