President Bush himself said it "You must assimilate". An illegal immigrant may not know what that means. Here are the steps for assimilating the American Culture. You may want to take notes.

on 6/9/2008 ...You have the chance to make America a great nation for all races - don't let the "White Man" see you any less nor try to make you the same with his powerful mass media.

on 6/9/2008 ..one another. Minorities work really hard in America to become successful like you and me. It's NOT about assimilating to be the same but being sensitive to different cultures and alike. I don't need to catch up on Tom Cruise, listen to Britney Spears/Miley Cyrus nor watch skanky Sex & the City all the time to be consider an American. No wonder we're being a me-first materialistic wasteful culture! The White man is afraid his White-washed consumerism culture will be influenced by minorities in the future, so that's why he created this "White-washed" list. Face the reality - it's time for a better change!

For all you minorities reading this comment, you have the best of both worlds - from your parents/ancestors homeland values/customs/cultures/languages and also being part of the American culture. You are American just like anyone else who was born here. Never forget your identity. Yo

on 6/9/2008 I find your list biased leaning towards Cacausian/White Americans. Americans are not just Whites - Blacks also built America as well! In fact, Mexican-Americans and Asians (Chinese, Japan, Korean, etc) also contribute heavily to American culture. Americans are diverse and will be even more so in the future! I'm surprise you didn't mention going to rodeos, going to a Nascar event and yelling "Hell Yeah!" while drinking a budlight.

With that said, where is your listening to Hip-hop and rap? What about learning how to break dance? Or, reading about Malcom X? Guess what?!? Those elements are also part of American culture and history, too! And not just for Blacks - as Hip Hip have influence lots of teens of all races!

Americans is made of various ethnics, values, customs, entertainment, and cultural diversity. These differences are what make us strong in learning and tolerating one anot
