Step 1
Visit the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Home to approximately 16,500 specimens and more than 660 species of animals, there's plenty of ocean life to encounter. From bottle nose dolphins and river turtles to zebra sharks and puffins, this seven-story glass aquarium is easy to spot along the harbor. It is recommended to arrive before 11:00 a.m. or after 3:00 p.m. to avoid crowds.

Visit the Maryland Science Center. With exhibits about dinosaurs, our planet Earth, the human body, outer space and Chesapeake Bay life, the science center invites visitors to learn it all in a please-touch environment. Step 3
Three miles southeast of the Baltimore Inner Harbor is Fort McHenry, where Francis Scott Key watched the flag wave during the 1814 Battle of Baltimore and was moved to write our national anthem. A guided tour, short film and various exhibits give the history behind the fort, and outdoor activities feature daily flag programs.

Consider Riding the Ducks! In a vehicle that gives you a tour by both land and sea, you can view attractions such as Edgar Allan Poe's Grave, Star-Spangled Banner Flag House, the Battle Monument, Little Italy, Fell's Point and much more!

Make sure to savor the seafood! Baltimore is known for it's crab cakes and you can get a wide variety of crab entrees as well as other delicious fresh fish right from the harbor at a number of seafood restaurant.
