How to use zerg
Of the three Starcraft races, the Zerg are the easiest to play. The Terran troops start out weak, and require a high degree of specialization. The Protoss are extremely powerful, but they are very expensive and slow to build. The Zerg build quickly, are hardier than the human troops, and are quite versatile.

Particularly if you are playing on a small map, use Zerglings for a quick attack. You can raid an enemy base early on to cripple his progress or, if you're efficient enough, actually win the game with just a handful of troops. The Zerg are the best race for a quick attack.

Use Creep Colonies extensively. These serve to defend your territory, allow you to build new buildings, and stop your opponents from building anything nearby.

Remembered to have enough hatcheries on hand. You should have more than you are using, so that you can quickly build reinforcements when you need to.

Use Zerglings as cannon fodder to buffer your other troops during a sustained attack. Send in a huge swarm of them with your army to take most of the initial casualties. Then, continue to send them in as quickly as you can, keeping your Hydralisks and air units slightly further back to avoid the brunt of the counter attack.

Be sure to adequately defend against air attacks! It is easy to build up on Zerglings, Ultralisks, and Sunken Colonies only to be left defenseless when the enemy brings in the air force. Build up Spore Colonies, Hydralisks and Mutalisks as the core of your anti-air troops. If you can afford them, keep a fleet of scourges in reserve for emergencies.
