Increase Metabolism with Vitamins

Everyone wants to boost their metabolism and with good reason. Even if we don't exactly understand metabolism, we know the results are desirable: more energy, better focus and weight loss. Metabolism is the process that converts food into energy. Weight gain and all the negative impacts to your body that comes along with it, are caused by an imbalance in energy. More calories are being consumed than burned. The opposite scenario needs to be created to maintain a healthy body. Read on to learn how to increase metabolism with vitamins.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know your metabolism. Basically metabolism is a series of chemical reactions in the body. The science is complex, but basically those chemical reactions promote growth, energy and performance of the body. Different substances affect those chemical reactions in different ways which cause the metabolic rate to be higher or lower. The metabolic rate is the level of efficiency at which the body maintains its metabolic tasks.

  2. Step 2

Improve your metabolic rate. There are two major ways to improve your metabolic rate or boost your metabolism. Increasing your activity rate is one of them. Exercising burns calories throughout the activity and continues to burn calories for hours after the activity has ended, meaning more calories burned. The other way is through vitamins and minerals. The chemical reactions that take place during metabolism are dependent upon proper nutrients. Without the right vitamins and minerals, particularly B2, B3, B5, B6 and vitamin C, metabolism will become sluggish and produce poor results.

  3. Step 3

Diet and exercise. Eat a balanced diet, exercise, and be sure to take in the required amounts of vitamins and minerals. You will not only boost your metabolism, but your focus, attitude and overall quality of life.

Tips & Warnings
  • A combination of diet, exercise and vitamin intake can increase metabolism naturally.
  • Never begin a new diet and exercise program without the consent of your doctor.
