Make a Facial Mask

If you love having a facial and want to try it at home, but you don’t want to waste money on pre-packaged facial masks, why not make your own? It’s very quick and easy to make a mask at home, and you probably have the ingredients on hand. Read on to learn how to make a facial mask.

From Quick Guide: DIY Facial Guide
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A food processor
  • One avocado
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup of regular oatmeal (uncooked)
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup of honey
  1. Step 1

Peel and cut up one avocado and place into a food processor. Make sure you remove the skin and the large seed in the middle since this will not work well in the processor or the mask itself.

  2. Step 2

Begin by adding 1/3 cup honey to the food processor. Turn on the processor and blend the avocado and honey mixture well. This should take about seven to eight seconds.

  3. Step 3

Turn off the processor and add 1/4 cup of uncooked regular oatmeal. Then pulse the food processor several times in order to mix the oatmeal into the mixture.

  4. Step 4

Remove the lid of the food processor and check the consistency of the mask. At that time you can add the extra honey or oats, if needed, re-cover, and pulse until mixed well.

  5. Step 5

Scrape the facial mixture from the food processing container into a small bowl, and then apply when ready to a cleansed face. Rinse off after 10 to 15 minutes and continue with your regular regimen.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use this mask once a week while you are relaxing. Your skin will look wonderful after a month.
  • If you are allergic to honey, bees or oats, do not use this mask recipe without the approval from a physician.
