How to Change the Internet Explorer Home Page
Internet Explorer is one of a number of browsers you can use to surf the Internet. The first version of Internet Explorer was released in 1995. Over the next three years, five more versions of Internet Explorer were released. When first released, the browser competed with Netscape for supremacy. Today, Internet Explorer's stiffest competition comes from Firefox and Safari.

Open Internet Explorer and type the website you want to use into the address bar.

Select "Tools" from the menu bar across the top of the Internet Explorer window and then select "Internet Options" from the drop-down menu.

Select the "General" tab on the Internet Options window that opens. Then click "Use Current" to set your homepage to the page you are currently viewing.

Type in a different website if you decide that you do not want to use the page Internet Explorer is currently on. For example, if you were currently looking at the ESPN website but decided you wanted CNN to be your homepage, you would type "www.cnn.com" into the "Address" bar.

Click "OK" to confirm your selection. The next time you open an Internet Explorer browser, your new home page will come up.

Tips & Warnings
If you would prefer that a blank Internet Explorer page come up when you start the program, leave your homepage blank so the computer does not have to load a website when the program opens.

I read your article today again, it might be good idea to change the home page all two weeks or so, to check whether the computer is healthy. This is a good test, others must also exist. -
