1. Clean out the tins. Wiping out with a damp cloth usually does the trick.

2. Organize your tool box, jewelry box, desk drawers, sewing kit or anything else that has small items. Mint tins work great for screws, earrings, paperclips, needles and pins.

3. Use the tins to transport small items, such as vitamins, aspirin or spare change. The tins easily fit in your bag or purse and the items won’t get crushed or lost.

4. Keep a few tins handy for quick storage of other miscellaneous items, like rubber bands or those extra buttons that come with new clothes.
