Things You'll Need:
- Name of the club you want to go to
- Networking skills
- Stylish outfit
-
Step 1
You may need to make a phone call or two. Or patron the street where the club is located. If you're trying to get into a club in Lincoln Park or in the loop or Wicker Park, go to a local bar in that area. The best person to talk to at the local pub is the bartender. The bartender usually has a connection to local clubs.
-
Step 2
Check in with a friend or relative who usually goes out clubbing. They may have a connection for you.
-
Step 3
Once you get the name of a bouncer or a person who works at the club, make a phone call to get on the list. Usually, name dropping will get you on the list. Make sure to put the number of people that are coming with you. There is sometimes a limit.
-
Step 4
Dress to impress. Just because you're on the list doesn't mean you can show up in scrubs (or those matching sweat suits that may look hip, but aren't). Once you arrive dressed in a hot outfit, the bouncer will check your name once (not twice) check you out twice (not once) and you're on your way in.
-
Step 5
Once you're in, the work hasn't stopped. Two things that matter to the club--how cool you are and act and how much alcohol you buy. It's the truth. So, get a bottle or two and make sure either a bouncer or the bartender knows your name. Leave your business card with the bartender. This will be your connection to get in the next time.
