The best laid plans of a blogger often find success. It can be a fun and lucrative business in the modern blogging world. I am now making a steady income from my blogs, in part due to the new drive of paid blogging services, blogging for cash on sites like Smorty, Pay Per Post, and Blogitive. Yes, you can almost make a career out of being a blogger, or at least use it to create a new stream of online income. Online income means steady pay, which isn’t always the case with certain services. If you choose the top blogging services, you will never be cheated out of your money. This essay will offer you the ways to pick out a paid posting site. All these paid posting sites are free, and all can allow you to make money online the honest way.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet
  • Blog at least 30 days old
  • Willingness to write paid posts
  1. Step 1

Find out Your Page RankFinding out your page rank on certain sites is rather easy. This is important in choosing a paid blogging service, as you will want to know exactly what you can charge (some sites allow you to choose). Just type in Google PR or Google Page Rank into your browser and you will find multiple ways of seeing your page rank. One popular site is mygooglepagerank.com.

  2. Step 2

Use Pay Per PostThe first stop of most bloggers is Pay Per Post. A few months ago, I would have told you to look someplace else. However, thanks to new rules, for the beginning blogger using Pay Per Post is an excellent way to make money online. For one, your first post is a guaranteed $20 if you follow the directions. This post is actually part of the Pay Per Post ad campaign to get more bloggers. Also, your blog only needs to be 30 days old.

  3. Step 3

Choosing by MoneySome sites will have better posting options for your blogs than others. Some bloggers like topics similar to their blog’s theme. Others just want to make the extra income. Whatever you pick, consider money as the bottom line. If you are putting a lot of work into a blogging service that pays $5 a post or less, consider using them only when you have to. A good blogging service like Pay Per Post or Smorty often pays a premium for popular blogs, as high as $50 for one post.

  4. Step 4

Choosing Just One is WrongChoosing one paid blogging service might work out for you. It depends. I, for one, subscribe to the idea of using multiple paid blogging services. If you want to make money online, that is the best way. However, you can make a decent income entirely on certain sites, depending on what your blog topic is. You will find the majority of your money coming from one paid blog posting service. For example, Smorty.com deals with a lot of businesses, as do other paid posting sites, so a business blog might work better there than an entertainment blog.

Tips & Warnings
  • Did your page rank go down? This is one of the major problems with paid postings. Google is cracking down on bloggers who post paid writing by lowering page ranks. Be careful how many paid posts you do. If your page rank does go down, you can always apply for reconsideration.
