Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a flying disc that is appropriate for your dog. There are soft and hard discs.

    • 2

Slowly introduce the toy to the dog by playing tug of war, but always let your dog win.

    • 3

Praise the dog when it wants to take the disc out of your hand.

    • 4

Throw the disc and see if your dog runs after it. Another way to throw it is to roll it on the ground.

    • 5

When the dog runs after it or catches it, praise him verbally and with a treat.

    • 6

After the dog catches the disc, call the dog to bring it back to you. Praise the dog when it gives it back.

Tips & Warnings

  • Continued practice will help the dog understand the catch and return process.
