  1. Step 1

Purchase a flying disc that is appropriate for your dog. There are soft and hard discs.

  2. Step 2

Slowly introduce the toy to the dog by playing tug of war, but always let your dog win.

  3. Step 3

Praise the dog when it wants to take the disc out of your hand.

  4. Step 4

When the dog runs after it or catches it, praise him verbally and with a treat.

  6. Step 6

After the dog catches the disc, call the dog to bring it back to you. Praise the dog when it gives it back.
