How to watch a DVD

All the extras on a DVD can make your favorite movie or TV show a completely different experience to watch. A movie or TV show on DVD can take hours and hours to fully enjoy, but all the extra time will make experience much more fun.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Put the DVD in your player and press play.
Step2
Once the DVD is loaded, wait for the menu page to come up.
Step3
With your remote select "play movie" and watch the movie/TV show all the way through normally.
Step4
On your next viewing, select "commentary on" for the movie/TV show and watch it again with the director, actors and other crew members' input playing.
Step5
When that is complete, select the "extras" option on the menu.
Step6
The extras will vary for every DVD but often you can watch outtakes, trailers, or mini-documentaries about the movie/TV show.
Step7
Sometimes after all the extras, it's a fun idea to watch the program one more time with all the new information you learned influencing the way you look at it.

Tips & Warnings

  • It is best to spread your DVD watching over a few days and not cram is all into one night.
