Learn how to use each of the pieces of equipment properly. This will help you progress and also avoid injuries.
Step2
Notice the time you start your workout. Plan to continue for 30 minutes as you move around the circuit of equipment and recovery boards.
Step3
Focus on breathing and counting the number of reps you do at each piece of equipment. Choose 1 or 2 to start. Count the number of times you do the activity for that equipment in the 30 seconds allotted. Over time you will be able to increase the number while still maintaining perfect form.
Step4
Check your pulse every 8 minutes. Check your results with the chart on the wall. People in good health can stay within the range of 70% to 80% of maximum heart rate. Do not exceed 80%. Those with health problems should check with their doctors to learn their maximum. When your pulse rate is too high, pause for 30 seconds to let your heart rest. When your pulse is too low, increase your level of activity.
Step5
Stay hydrated. Even if it means stopping briefly, don’t keep going if you are thirsty. It’s important not to be dehydrated.
Step6
Pay attention to your posture on the equipment and the recovery boards. Keep your back relaxed and straight. Keep your knees soft. Don’t stick your head out. The staff will be glad to give you feedback. Poor posture strains your body unnecessarily.
Step7
Do the recommended stretch routine at the end of your workout. Hold each stretch for 15 seconds. Breathe deeply.
