Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Alarm clock
  • Herbal tea
  1. Step 1

Getting enough sleep is the first step to waking up early. Aim to go to bed 8 hours before you need to wake up. If this is impossible, still aim to get as many hours as you can.

  2. Step 2

Your bed time will most likely be earlier than normal so take some time to calm down before you try and hit the sack. Make a cup of herbal tea and sit in a comfortable place reading a relaxing book or watching a relaxing TV show in your pajamas.

  3. Step 3

Take a nice hot shower. This will relax you more and save time in the morning as well.

  4. Step 4

As you get in bed set your alarm for the exact time you need to wake up. Early mornings are not a great time to use the snooze button because there is too much potential to fall back asleep.

  5. Step 5

Make sure your bedroom is at a comfortable temperature and is quiet. Use ear plugs if there is unavoidable noise.

  6. Step 6

When the alarm goes off in the morning, get right out of bed and drink a large glass of water. Hydrating your body helps it to wake up.

  7. Step 7

Go into your morning routine as usual.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have more trouble falling asleep, try spritzing lavender water in your bed. The scent will calm your further.
  • It might be a good idea to put your alarm clock a bit further away from you than usual. That way, you will have to get up to turn it off.
