People have been working out using medicine balls for years. This type of workout is a great way to burn fat and calories and to keep your body toned. Lots of people choose to do medicine ball crunches because they are easier to do than a traditional crunch. Follow these steps and get into your medicine ball crunch routine.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Medicine ball
  1. Step 1

Get a medicine ball. You can easily find one at any athletic store. Make sure that you buy the right size for your height and your weight.

  2. Step 2

Choose a place to work out. You want to choose an open room that has plenty of ventilation and even a ceiling fan so you do not get overheated.

  3. Step 3

Position yourself on the medicine ball. The proper way to do a medicine ball crunch is to sit so your buttocks firmly depress in the middle of the medicine ball. This will bring your knees up higher than they would be when doing a traditional crunch.

  4. Step 4

Perform sets of medicine ball crunches. Now that you are sitting properly on the medicine ball, lean your stomach and upper torso towards the ground. At a 45-degree angle, clench your stomach muscles while you do so and then sit back up. This constitutes one crunch. Repeat this as many times as needed to achieve your workout.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is recommended that you work out in sets of ten, where each set has ten medicine ball crunches.
  • Make sure to stretch before working out.
