Not all fantasy baseball players begin their leagues at the beginning of the season. Some that do may have such a poor team that they wish they could start all over together. There is another option for a fantasy baseball. Here is how you can create a mid-season fantasy baseball league.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Contact friends and baseball fans you are close with about being in a mid-season fantasy baseball league. If you've been involved in leagues since the beginning of the season, you could consider asking those who aren't doing so well in those leagues. They may consider a mid-season fantasy baseball league as a kind of redemption.
Step2
Wait until the All-Star break to have your mid-season fantasy baseball draft. This will allow you to draft players on a day when nobody is playing, thus no stats will be affected.
Step3
Create a similar scoring system as your other fantasy baseball leagues. Even though this is a mid-season league, there are still 81 games of baseball to be played. Besides, fantasy baseball is fantasy baseball regardless of the length of the league. Scoring systems should remain constant.
Step4
Limit the amount of trades and free agent moves that can be made in your mid-season fantasy baseball league. Since your fantasy baseball league will be half as long as normal, owners should be limited when it comes to how many roster moves they are allowed to make.
Step5
Make a list of all of the top-name Major League Baseball players that are injured or on the disabled list before you have your draft. Some of the fantasy baseball owners in your league may be unfamiliar with all of the injuries that have taken place during the season. This is a way to make your mid-season fantasy baseball league more fair for everybody.
Step6
Use a spreadsheet to keep track of scoring for your mid-season fantasy baseball league. This makes the league a more personal experience for everybody involved and makes it more fun for the commissioner.
